Young Entrepreneurship Course – Certificate on e-shop Creation and Digital Marketing

Background

For young people to get ahead, personally, professionally and in service to the community, they need to be dedicated and hardworking. They also need to have the necessary competencies in today’s knowledge-based economy. Towards this end, the HKFYG Jockey Club Social Innovation Centre (SIC) is committed to supporting young people, aged 18 to 35, to set up their own businesses in different service areas.

Given the fact that the Covid pandemic derailed many employment opportunities, particularly for young people, including being laid off, the role of entrepreneurship as a potential problem solver for youth unemployment has once again come to the fore.

Therefore, SIC is keen to support the are numerous young people who wish to explore new business opportunities, giving fresh impetus to the economic health of the community. However, we also see that in spite of their unique skills and enterprising spirit, they also require knowledge in strategic planning, as well as foresight and pragmatism to sustain business growth in an extremely competitive business environment.

One area in which SIC is focusing is in the provision of training for those wishing to launch online shops, by organising an Online Shop Training Course introducing basic theories of running online shops, along with introduction of marketing tools to promote business.
